Rural Geriatrics Experience: Frontier Medicine Ajo
Location: Ajo, Arizona

Housing: Provided in the fire station house

Location: Fort Defiance, Arizona; near Window Rock Tribal Park, Navajo Zoologic Park, Monument Valley and many other hiking areas

Distance from Tucson: 336 miles (6 hours) near NM border
Housing: Provided in an onsite trailer that can be shared with medical students and other residents.

  • Opportunities include time working with physical therapists, podiatrists, public health department and workers and traditional medicine healers.
