Why Family Medicine?  I have always been interested in family medicine since I was a child. Family medicine is the only field which emcompasses all aspects of medicine, from pediatrics, to OB, to geriatrics and beyond. You get to do and see it all!
Why UA COM at South Campus?  I grew up in a rural area with only one physician. I wanted to be that physician when I grew up. With the UA COM at South Campus I am able to get the best of both worlds with University backing of a community hospital. I wanted a combination of university education coupled with rural exposure and challenges. The rural rotations will provide me with even more skills to work in extremely underserved areas.
