TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona Department of Family and Community Medicine’s Mobile Health Program has established a new partnership with Amity Foundation to provide full-service primary care at no cost to students at Amity’s Circle Tree Ranch and Dragonfly Village, located at 10500 E. Tanque Verde Rd., Tucson. The first mobile health clinic will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 9 a.m.-noon.
The mobile health clinic will continue to provide care at Circle Tree Ranch and Dragonfly Village the first and third Tuesday of each month.
“Our Mobile Health Program is honored to provide this vital service to individuals in our community who may otherwise go without primary health care,” said Myra Muramoto, MD, chair of the UA Department of Family and Community Medicine.
The UA Mobile Health Program, housed within the Department of Family and Community Medicine, has provided quality health-care services for underserved and rural communities in Southern Arizona for more than 40 years. The program brings full-service primary care at no cost to low-income residents in medically underserved communities throughout Pima County.
The program is able to provide services at no cost thanks to generous support from the Pima County Board of Supervisors, the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, the UA Foundation Ortiz Endowment, the Delta Dental Foundation, the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation, the March of Dimes, Sonora Quest Laboratories and Banner Health.
